BFA in collaboration with Rich Mix is curating a walk and workshop on Sunday 27 June 2021 for families and young people aged between 6-11 years old to explore Architecture and Design.
Everyone A Maker is a programme for families and children at Rich Mix. The programme will provide an access point to children and their families to creatively engage with Architecture and Design.
The programme series happens every last Sunday of the month. The activities are led by different creatives and tailored for children to get familiar with design and architecture thinking and skills.
The event will start with a walk around Shoreditch, Bethnal Green to see the local architectural heritage as well as more contemporary art such as the new Camille Walala’s mural Belleville. Young people will be asked to record the shapes, forms and geometries that they see. Walking stops include: Rich Mix Back, The Tea Building, Shoreditch Church, Brick Lane and the Boundary Estate. After a short break, the event will conclude in a creative, collective shape and map-making activity back at Rich Mix.
