Black Females In Architecture will be collaborating with the RIBA to deliver a series of workshops after being awarded the 2023 RIBA Local Initiative Fund (LIF). These workshops form the ‘BFA Learning Mixers’ which will be four quarterly workshops led by both BFA members and RIBA practitioners. The BFA Learning Mixers aim to provide new soft skills, career support and a topical discussion forum for early to mid career architects. Its curation is a direct response to our BFA members expressing interest for more learning focused events with additional social networking with other professionals.
The first of the 4 workshops is the ‘CV & Portfolio Skills’ which will be taking place at HTA Design on Wednesday 25th October from 6:30pm to 9:30 pm.
The ‘CV & Portfolio Skills’ is an opportunity for students and recent graduates to have a 1-to-1 review of their portfolios with an experienced mentor (‘surgeries’) and receive advice on applying for work in practice.
